Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, whether you are a member of the Kansas Dental Association, a friend of the Kansas Dental Association, or someone I have met through my career here. Since March 31, 1999, I have had the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing and passionate individuals. I've also met countless people whose dedication, professionalism and ethics have become part of my foundation.
Much has changed since I sat down in this office twelve years ago and I never would have imagined in 1999 that I'd still be sitting in this same office. I often think back to my college days, wondering if I made the right decisions in life. I didn't know it at the time, but a career path I didn't take is one I have come back to here at the KDA. I am grateful that I've been able to take a passion for communications and writing and to make it a big part of my work. Of course, technology and the internet is a big part of this, but so too is the freedom I've been given by my Executive Director, Kevin Robertson, who hired me. Sure, the analytical skills I learned in law school are a big part of what I bring to my desk everyday; but it's the opportunity to share the stories of our members, of our service through the Kansas Mission of Mercy, and to create communications like the KDA Video Minute, that I truly enjoy.
I hope that I have been able to bring something of value to you during these twelve years. As long as I am here, I will continue to work hard for you, our members and our friends, and to the people we serve through the Kansas Mission of Mercy. Thank you.
